From September 9 to 13, 2020 the San Diego Design Week (San Diego Design Week), but this year’s edition want to do something different. That is why they seek to partner with designers from Tijuana and San Diego, to present a joint exhibition.
This year’s theme is Projecting Futures, it is a visual exhibition with 2D graphic works.
San Diego Design Week is an annual series of five-day events, celebrating the diverse design community in the city of San Diego.
San Diego Design Week is made up of: events, exhibitions, workshops and talks with all design disciplines, from architecture, interior design and landscape design to graphic design, fashion, technology.
Tijuana designers interested in participating with a project must take into account the theme: «Project futures». In the form of digital art, you must express a positive and hopeful message for our future, while raising the value of graphic design as a profession through the impact of its images. How is your vision of the future? How does it feel?

Requirements to participate in San Diego Design Week
- Designers from San Diego or Tijuana only *
- Topic alignment; Uplifting and positive message of hope for our future.
- 2D graphic design or graphic art (no artwork or sculpture)
- Approved 2D style: graphic art, illustration, typography, decorative elements, pattern, animated gif, video or time-lapse
- High color contrast is recommended for better viewing
- Existing design work that aligns with our theme is appreciated.
- Illustration Guidelines
- Artwork will be screened, so only digital files will be accepted.
- Format: option to create a static or animated visual.
- Dimensions: 1080px by 1080px squares
- Resolution: 300ppi
- File type: PNG or JPG for static / MP4, MOV or GIF for animation
- Duration (only applicable to animated images): 10-15 seconds

You have until August 28, to submit your work.
The August 31 The selection of works that will participate will be made, the event organizers will contact you if you were one of those selected.
