Hear, look! Microsoft has just announced on its blog the Windows 11 official release date. Thus, you will be delighted to learn (or not) that the free update to Windows 11 will start from October 5, 2021 !
A progressive update but… free
On October 5, 2021, Microsoft will begin rolling out the free Windows 11 upgrade to qualifying Windows 10 PCs. New PCs will also come preloaded with Windows 11 from that date.
The free upgrade to Windows 11 will be phased and measured as the latest updates for Windows 10. This means newer devices will receive the update before older PCs.
Finally, Microsoft expects all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022.
As perfect as 11.11 * would * be, we just couldn’t wait any longer to make # Windows11 available. Get it October 5th, and read all about it now.

If you have a Windows 10 PC eligible for the upgrade, Windows Update will notify you when it’s available. You can also check if Windows 11 is ready for your device by going to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update> Check for updates. However, since the process will continue for more than 6 months, spamming the button can very quickly become annoying.
Otherwise, for the more impatient, you can already download and install Windows 11 Beta on your computer. To do this, I invite you to follow my tutorial available at this address.
