I am not a fan of the current administration, but I have to admit that I really liked the design of the commemorative image.
The illustration of Quetzalcóatl seems very good to me, I think it is inspired in one part, in the illustration of the National Emblem, the one used in Mexican coins. That by the way that design is by Francisco Eppens Helguera.
It makes sense that they use the eagle on the national shield as a reference to make the illustration of Quetzalcóatl. Because in Nahuatl, quetzalli it means ‘pen‘ Y cōhuātl it means ‘snake‘. Quetzalcoatl or The feathered snakeThat is why there are eagle-like feathers in Quetzalcóatl’s illustration.
I also liked the selection of fonts. It seems to me that they accompany the image of Quetzalcóatl very well. They even work smoothly when used without artwork.
