Dune

Frank Herbert’s Dune to return with Warner Bros in a new film that hopes to bring his entire universe to the big screen and move away from the ill-fated David Lynch. Now Warner Bross has revealed the new logo for Dune.

We say ill-fated not because we didn’t like it, but because it fell far short of the great dimension that Herbert’s Dune itself is. It gives for much more and it is one of the own universes that more followers has created; always looking from the perspective of reading the book.

The new logo of Dune has arrived with the first image of the film and where we have Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides. It was from the film’s Twitter account where it appeared and which has led to it being updated on the different social media that the film has.

This logo uses the 4 four “U” shapes in different orientations that was seen in the first photographs at the beginning of the year. In fact, that first logo led to a bit of controversy as it seemed more like “DUNC” than “DUNE.” The funny thing is that this first logo seems to have been made by a fan of the film, so everything remains as an anecdote for the history of cinema.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, in charge of the return of Blade Runner, it is expected to be released around the world on December 18; As long as the damn COVID-19 that is wreaking havoc with some premieres doesn’t bother him. The movie synopsis takes us to Atreides that he must travel to the most dangerous planet in the entire universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. It remains for us to see how Villeneuve will take this great story to theaters and he stays halfway like the great David Lynch did.
